The Uniqueness of Isa Al-Masih according to Islamic theology–a reply to Bakar Udhin
Thank you very much. Naturally, I will be choosing to show you how Islam makes Jesus divine. This means that I will NOT be quoting any bible verses but I will be using Islamic Theology to prove my point alone. So, correct me where you think that my Islamic theological understanding is wrong. I eagerly await your logic.
ISA AL-MASIH IN THE QURAN
UNIQUE NUMBER OF TIMES
UNIQUE DEATHLESS LIFE
UNIQUE LIKE ADAM
UNIQUE PURITY/ HOLINESS/ SINLESS/ FAULTLESS/ RIGHTEOUS
UNIQUE IN ANOINTING
- In Islamic theology, notice that HIS name is not simply Masih, HIS name is Isa Al-Masih. HIS name means "HE saves". This is unique because Allah was the one who named HIM through an angel before HIS birth. Isa Al-Masih was not named by a mere man like Muhammad was. This makes Isa Al-Masih more unique than Muhammad or any other prophets. And since Isa Al-Masih is a sign from Allah; combining "Isa" with Al-Masih" indicates "The Anointed Saviour". To save us from what? To save us from judgement and to save us to a place of mercy (Surah 19:21) and reconciliation with Allah. It is significant/ unique that this title was chose by Allah for HIM to indicate what Allah's special wish will be.
but maybe for another debate.
